Hey, it's CAN 👋 Issue three of the Creator 6-Pack, and the holiday scramble is officially on. Six things worth knowing, cracked open and poured short. Let's get into it.

Instagram wants your 90-minute videos
Adam Mosseri announced a test on October 26 that Instagram is calling Features, horizontal videos up to 90 minutes long, live now in Brazil with a limited US rollout underway. A companion tool, Clips as Reels, cuts segments of a long video into Reels that link viewers back to the full thing. The missing piece is money. Meta says it is "too early to share a long-term monetization model" and that it is exploring ways for Creators to earn from brands, fans, and Instagram itself.
Our take: if you already make long-form for YouTube, Features is nearly free distribution to test, since the asset exists and the edit is a re-export. If you'd be producing 90-minute videos from scratch, hold until Instagram shows the money model, because working on spec is for film school. Either way, a credible second home for long video strengthens your hand in every YouTube conversation you have next year.

Big-box retail just crashed TikTok Shop
Best Buy opened a TikTok Shop storefront in late October with nearly 10,000 products from brands like Dyson, Bose, and Oura, plus a creator program that puts affiliate earnings on shoppable videos. Disney follows with its first Super Brand Day, November 4 through 10, bringing holiday merch from more than 20 brands and a few TikTok-first exclusives. For affiliate Creators, the catalog just filled up with household names that actually convert, right as gift-guide season opens. Holiday picks posted in early November compound all the way through Black Friday, so this is the fortnight to test the Creator Affiliate program if you've been circling it.

One missing #ad now costs $53,088
Between 29 and 31% of the year's brand deals happen in October through December, per The Influencer Marketing Factory's 2026 Brand Deals Report, which also found that 71% of sponsored Instagram content lacks proper disclosure. The FTC's 2026 penalty ceiling is $53,088 per violation, and violations stack per post, so a sloppy ten-post holiday campaign is a half-million-dollar exposure on paper. Keep the disclosure where viewers see it without tapping more, say it out loud in videos, and remember that gifted product and affiliate links count as material connections too. If you need help making sense of a holiday contract, our legal partner Unbound has a discount for exactly that moment.

Pinterest wants to put ad money behind your Pins
Pinterest is testing a program that lets brands pay to promote Pins made by Creators they already work with. You get an email when a brand wants to boost one of yours, you approve or reject each request individually, and an account-level setting opts you out entirely. Before you tap approve, remember that paid usage of your content normally carries a fee in a brand deal. Check what usage rights your existing contracts grant, decide your default posture, and put a whitelisting rate on your rate card so you’re ready before brands ask about it.
FEED CHECK · 5 OF 6
YouTube moved your Subscriptions tab
After nearly a decade in the bottom bar, Subscriptions is moving to the top of YouTube's mobile Home tab as a feed called Subs, sharing a new shortcut row with Live, Music, and Movies & TV. The same redesign adds custom feeds built from typed prompts, with three saves on free accounts and eight on Premium. Your subscribers now sit one extra tap away, which makes packaging and watch time the real distribution plan, and makes moving your best viewers to channels you control more valuable than ever. We hear newsletters are nice.
