Creator Access Network presents The Creator 6-Pack. Six things Creators need to know. Every Tuesday. Four minutes.

Issue No. 002 · Tuesday, October 27, 2026

Hey, it's CAN 👋 Issue two of the Creator 6-Pack, and this week comes with a deadline. Meta's new terms land Friday, Instagram kills a Reels feature Wednesday, and your one health insurance window of the year opens Sunday. Six things worth knowing, cracked open and poured short, with every item linking out to the full story. Let's get into it.

INSIDE: Meta's Friday deadline · Reels series linking dies Wednesday · the AI pay premium · open enrollment opens Sunday · Spotify's podcast push · a Roadie from Kajabi

Meta can crawl your website starting Friday

Meta's new commercial terms take effect this Friday, October 30, and they give Meta permission to "access, index, cache, analyze, collect, retrieve, or crawl" websites associated with a business account on Facebook or Instagram, then periodically pull updates from them. Publishers pushed back hard enough that Meta deleted the explicit reference to AI training from the language, though legal experts note the crawling permission itself survived the edit. If you run a business account and your link in bio points to your own site, this affects you.

❝

Our take: platform relationships can evolve, and it’s important to stay on top of updates like this one. You connected your website to Meta to reach your audience, and the connection now runs both ways. Keeping a business account still makes sense for most Creators, ours included. Go into Friday knowing exactly what's linked to yours, read the terms update yourself, and keep anything you'd never want Meta to have access to off the domains attached to your profiles.

PLATFORM WATCH · 2 OF 6

Reels series linking goes away Wednesday

Instagram will retire series linking on October 28, barely a year after launching it, saying the removal simplifies the Reels experience. Two new tools arrive in its place. Edits now supports clickable audio links that send viewers to the exact sound you used, and Instagram added Reference Reels, which let you overlay any Reel under 90 seconds in a small window while you record your response to it. If any of your content depends on linked series, this week is the time to move that structure into pinned comments, captions, or a landing page before the links quietly disappear.

AI WATCH · 3 OF 6

AI skills now come with a price tag

Health insurance might be the least fun subscription you own, but it’s one of the most important, and the one window to change it opens Sunday, November 1. Open enrollment on HealthCare.gov runs through January 15, with December 15 as the cutoff if you want coverage starting January 1 (most state exchanges follow the same calendar, with a few exceptions). Self-employed Creators get this window only once a year, so put 30 minutes on the calendar before the holidays eat your attention, and compare plans instead of auto-renewing just because it’s easier. If shopping the public marketplace gave you a headache last year, our partner EssentL Creator builds corporate-quality health coverage for Creators, and yes, there's a CAN discount on it.

Spotify wants podcasters verified and paid

Spotify made three podcast moves this month that fit one pattern. Fan Memberships, announced October 21, let podcasters charge listeners for exclusive access directly inside Spotify. Verified by Spotify badges now mark shows whose identity has been authenticated. The company also banned AI-generated podcasts that impersonate a real person's voice or likeness without permission, voice-cloning tools included. Identity is becoming an asset platforms protect, and monetization keeps moving inside the apps. Enjoy the new revenue lane, but keep your subscriber list somewhere you can export.

THE ROADIE · 6 OF 6

3 months of Kajabi for $99, one for the road
